Survey and Interviews

In order to test my hypothesis, correlations and regression analyses were run through SPSS.

statistical analysis results

Correlations

There was no significant relationship between ethnic identity, prejudice, and psychological well-being.

Hypothesis Testing

Ethnic identity and perceived discrimination were not significant predictors of psychological well-being in adoptees. Furthermore, this relationship did not differ based on adoptee identity (i.e. ethnic identity and perceived discrimination were not significant predictors of psychological well-being in all adoptee groups). However, ethnic identity was found to be a significant predictor of collective self-esteem.

In addition to a statistical analysis, an interview analysis was done to find common themes between adoptees.
